Credi

Credi is an app designed to help folks manage their finances and figure out the type of credit cards and loans they are qualified for. When I joined this project, the design and mockups were mostly complete. The creator of the app came to me for a second set of eyes. He had a few issues with the current design of the app and wanted to see some alternate designs.

Headers

One of the issues he brought up was the headers. He felt like they seemed free-floating and detached from the rest of the page in a way that wasn't visually appealing.

I added a colored background and changed the font color to white to give the headers more contrast from the rest of the page and guide the users eye there first.

Onboarding Page

Another item brought to my attention was the onboarding page. It felt like it was not cohesive with the rest of the pages in the app, almost as if it didn't belong to the app at all.

I changed the background to use the brand colors, and used brighter imagery to better represent the text on screen, as well as make the app feel lighter and friendlier towards users.

Profile Page

The profile page wasn't brought up as a concern item, but while I was working through the app I felt like there was a little too much white. When the owner described how the profile page will slide from the side, I thought it would be nice to have it visually continue the now blue headers, as well as visually mimic the onboarding page. While this change isn't necessary per say, I felt that it made the profile page stand out from the whiteness of the other pages, and also made the buttons stand out more.

This was a very fun project to work on. It was different coming into a project during a phase where most of the core designing had already happened, but I really enjoyed exploring other options that hopefully add value to the user experience.
